In May 2024, Autostrade per l’Italia (ASPI) launched its first Inclusion Week: a company-wide initiative that spanned from North to South, engaging thousands of employees in moments of listening, sharing, and authentic storytelling.
This was not an isolated event, but part of a broader DEI strategy, built around Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) – gender, disability, LGBTQ+, neurodivergence – and a long-term vision. The central theme for 2024 was intergenerationality, a powerful lens as, for the first time, up to five generations now coexist within the same organization.
Each ERG brought the theme to life through its own perspective, weaving generational diversity into personal experiences and collective reflection. These were not simple testimonies, but fragments of lived experience that became part of ASPI’s shared culture.
A talk with a research center revealed how perceptions of cognitive differences have evolved: from seeing left-handedness as a flaw to embracing neurodiversity — ADHD, autism, dyslexia, Tourette’s, and more. Insight: it’s no longer about fixing deficits but valuing diverse talents, unlocking creativity, resilience, and innovation in organizations.
Two colleagues from different generations exchanged letters on the challenges and progress in their careers — revealing how much has changed and how much still must. Insight: younger generations can thrive only if companies keep accelerating their equity journey.
The transversal theme of the week was the coexistence of five generations in the same workplace, with different languages, skills, and values.
A mother-daughter dialogue showed how perception evolves: the mother saw “a woman in a wheelchair,” the daughter just “a woman.” Insight: language shapes culture — younger generations see disability through identity, not limitation.
Two colleagues recalled their first days, thirty years apart: one silenced, one free to speak. Insight: cultural change creates real opportunities for growth and engagement.
The value of Inclusion Week lies not only in the stories told, but in the creation of a structured, safe space where employees are protagonists. These moments:
Strengthen engagement and belonging
Give visibility to diversity, breaking systemic invisibility
Turn individual awareness into collective culture
Generate data, insights, and narratives to guide future DEI strategies
Innovamey was a crucial partner in this journey: not only in organization, but above all in bringing strategic vision and method to turn Inclusion Week into a high-impact cultural experience.
We curated the opening talk with data, trends, and insights, providing employees with a clear picture of inclusion as a lever of competitiveness and sustainability. This opening set the stage for a week that was not only celebratory, but deeply transformative
We supported internal teams in building a coherent narrative framework, connecting personal stories, data, and corporate values into one shared language.
We helped translate individual experiences into actionable insights for ASPI’s DEI strategy, ensuring that testimonies became part of the organizational culture.
“Social sustainability is the force that powers the future: when companies choose to invest in people and communities, they don’t just create economic value, they build shared growth and positive impact. Ethical and inclusive businesses that embrace diversity as richness and equal opportunities as a right pave the way for a new model of development, where innovation and ethics walk hand in hand. It is in the plurality of talents, generations, and skills that the true energy of change is born.”

We translate initiatives into systemic vision, data, and processes that last beyond the event.
Spaces like Inclusion Week are not “nice to have,” but true levers of competitiveness. Research confirms that:
Inclusive teams make better decisions 87% of the time;
Companies with multicultural leadership teams record +19% revenue from innovation;
Inclusive environments see a 26% increase in collaboration.
For an infrastructure company like ASPI, this translates into organizational resilience, capacity to innovate and attract talent, and strengthened social legitimacy and reputation.
Inclusion Week showed how companies can become real platforms for culture and change. With its integrated approach, Innovamey is the partner that turns events into strategic investments: combining people, data, and vision, we help organizations build the future with responsibility, innovation, and courage.
