Communicating the construction of one of the largest education projects in Italy was never going to be business as usual.
Communicating the construction of one of the largest education projects in Italy was never going to be business as usual. The new MIND Campus of the University of Milan – financed by the first Public-Private Partnership in the country dedicated to higher education, supported by institutions such as CDP, the European Investment Bank, and a network of private partners – is not just a building site. It is a city of knowledge rising in the heart of the Milan Innovation District (MIND), designed to redefine how research, education, and innovation connect with society.
Over three years (2025–2027), the challenge was immense:
We built a strategic content journey aligned with the four project phases:
[02]
The places taking shape. A visual and emotional journey through the spaces, from construction to future everyday life.
[03]
Direct engagement moments. Q&A sessions, guided tours, live streams, workshops, and open days turning spectators into participants.
At the core of our approach lies VOICES – Innovamey’s iconic communication program that captures the real voices of transformation.
For the Campus, Voices became:
We designed an ecosystem of communication touchpoints to ensure relevance, continuity, and impact:
[01]
Not technical training, but a journey that activates culture and empathy.
[02]
Instagram and LinkedIn as primary platforms, with a cadence of 9 posts/month, 12 stories/month, and 3 videos/month.
[03]
From institutional visits to monthly Live Fridays, bridging the site with the community.
[04]
Tight coordination with PR groups, media, and University communication teams to ensure timing, consistency, and resonance.
[05]
Earned and paid media campaigns, combined with search optimization, to amplify reach and long-term visibility
“We chose Innovamey because we needed a partner able to turn a complex project into an authentic, engaging story. Their VOICES format was the perfect, scalable solution — capable of connecting people, purpose, and progress through a narrative that makes sustainability both human and strategic.”
Through our work, the Campus Blueprint Project became more than a construction site – it turned into a living narrative of how education, innovation, and sustainability can reshape a country’s future.
From institutional stakeholders to future students, no longer passive audiences but active participants.
Elevating the Campus as a model PPP for education in Europe, comparable to benchmarks like MIT Media Lab or Google Bay View.
Showing that multi-stakeholder projects can be narrated with authenticity, agility, and vision – avoiding greenwashing and instead creating ownership and pride.
Demonstrating how carbon neutrality, inclusivity, and long-term impact are not optional, but central to design and governance.
Inclusion Talks by Voices is Innovamey’s video series highlighting stories, insights, and best practices from leaders and changemakers — and an open invitation for you to lend your voice to the conversation on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The Campus Blueprint Project is not only about constructing a university — it is about shaping a shared vision of what education means in the 21st century.
Behind every blueprint lies more than architecture: there is culture, trust, and imagination — the foundations of a learning society.
Here, communication was not an accessory, but a strategic infrastructure in itself.
By connecting institutions, communities, and visions, Innovamey helped transform a complex national initiative into a collective story — one that people could understand, support, and believe in. Because in projects that define a nation’s future, communication is not a tool — it is the bridge that turns ambition into belonging.
